PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reforming device capable of rapidly performing heat exchange corresponding to load fluctuation and attaining rapid warming-up. SOLUTION: A hot storage tank 135 is provided in a reactor 131, in which the reforming reaction of fuel is performed, a recovery tank 136 is provided outside the reactor and the heat capacity of the reactor is made variable by changing the capacity of a heat storing material 138 housed in the heat storage tank. At the time of starting up of a system, the capacity of the heat storing material 138 housed in the heat storage tank 135 is decreased and when the system is stable, the capacity of the heat storing material 138 housed in the heat storage tank 135 is increased. |
