PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bad effect when an electronic flashing device is coupled with a camera of another manufacturer. SOLUTION: The electronic flashing device cut off a signal line of an electric contact, and thereby a bad effect is prevented when it is couples with a camera of another manufacturer. Moreover, the signal line is automatically cut off, or a signal line to be cut off is automatically decided, according to a result of identification of the camera. Moreover, the signal line is cut off according to the mode selection for a slave mode. Further, the signal line is cut off according to pop-up of the electronic flashing device built in the camera.
