PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-shaped insulator capable of surely connecting a pressure contact terminal to be mounted to an electric wire. SOLUTION: A contact plate 60 acting as the plate-shaped insulator has a bottom wall 63a, a plurality of partitions 63b, and a plurality of electric wire housing grooves 61. The partition 63b is vertically installed from the bottom wall 63. A plurality of partitions 63b are arranged in parallel each other. The electric wire housing groove is surrounded by adjacent partitions 63b and the bottom wall 63a. The electric wire housing groove 61 houses an insulation displacement contact terminal for JB 50 acting as the insulation displacement contact terminal and an electric wire 4 being pressure-contacted with the insulation displacement contact terminal for JB 50. The insulation displacement contact terminal for JB 50 has an electric wire connecting part 51 to which the electric wire 4 is pressure-contacted. The insulation displacement contact plate 60 has recesses 71 recessed from an end surface 63d apart from the bottom wall 63a of the partition 63b. The recesses 71 installed on the end surfaces 63d of the adjacent partitions 63b position between them the electric wire connecting part 51 of the insulation displacement contact terminal for JB 50 within the electric wire housing groove 61.
