<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal shutter device which can make electrode patterns connected to a patterning section fully or mostly invisible, and a display device using this. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal shutter device uses two sheets of crystal shutters A and B, each of which has been secondarily processed to have a hollow part or a protrusion part respectively.
