<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data storage to the maximum even when a reset cause or a shut-off request in a state of power source abnormality occurs, regarding a board with on-board power and a reset control method of the board. <P>SOLUTION: The board comprises a power control unit controlling a reset operation and power of the board; a data protection information setting unit to which information including effectiveness and priority of protection is set by a higher order device; a reset request correspondence determining unit determining whether protective data should be stored by using the information in the setting unit in response to the occurrence of a reset request; a storage destination determining unit determining the storage destination of the protective data when it is determined that the protective data should be stored in accordance with the determination by the determining unit; and a protective data storage unit storing the protective data.
