<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OCR system capable of improving the efficiency of format parameter preparation work relating to a new business form. <P>SOLUTION: In a database 112, business form attribute information indicating the properties of respective business forms prepared in the past, field types indicating the type of the respective fields of the respective business forms, field information defining the description method of the respective fields, and the sample image are stored in such a format that they can be retrieved for respective field units. When preparing the field information of the format parameter for OCR of the new slip, the database 112 is retrieved for the field unit by a field registration information retrieval part 107 on the basis of the field type selected in a field selection part 104 and the business form attribute information input by a business form attribute information input part 106, high-order n pieces estimated as being usable as the field information of the new business form are displayed on a screen as candidates, and one of them is utilized and made appropriable or editable as the field information of the new business form in a field registration part 109. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
