PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of cleaning excessive toner adhered to an end surface of a recording sheet and suppressing contamination of the end surface by providing an image forming area larger than the recording sheet for attaining borderless recording. SOLUTION: In a typical configuration of the image forming device having an image carrier for carrying a toner image and adapted to transfer the toner image on the image carrier over the edge of the recording sheet, the image forming device comprises a carrying roller 62 for obliquely feeding the recording sheet, a contact guide 63 for guiding the recording sheet S obliquely carried by the carrying roller 62 in a sheet carrying direction; and a cleaning member 64 provided on the sheet carrying directional downstream side of the contact guide 63, which contacts with the end surface of the recording sheet S to clean the toner adhered to the end surface.
