PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can regulate the density of a high density part while preventing impairment of image quality. SOLUTION: An image processing program 3 operating on an image processor 1 comprises an air gap size control section 320 for controlling the size of an air gap formed at least in a part of a dot matrix based on an inputted image signal, a section 326 for converting a threshold based on the air gap size controlled at the air gap size control section 320 and a threshold for generating a dot matrix, and a section for binarizing an image signal based on the converted threshold and an image signal. The air gap size control section 320 controls the size of air gap such that an air gap is formed at least in a part of a dot matrix when the input density exceeds a predetermined value, and an air gap is not formed when the input density does not exceed the predetermined value.
