PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for composting sewage sludge and a subsidiary material which have been deodorized while preventing a dehydrated cake from decaying by mixing the dehydrated cake with a fermentation accelerator and without kneading it more than necessary.SOLUTION: A method for composting sewage sludge includes: dehydrating sewage sludge 10 to discharge a dehydrated cake containing a polymer flocculant to a belt conveyer 2; discharging a fermentation accelerator 3, granular material, by a spiral pushing-out member while stirring the fermentation accelerator; continuously supplying the fermentation accelerator 3 from a supply port provided on the upper surface side of a member at least surrounding the three sides of the upper surface side, left side surface side, and right side surface side of the belt conveyer 2; spraying the fermentation accelerator 3 on the surface of a dehydrated cake 20; successively discharging the dehydrated cake from the end part in the advancing direction of the belt conveyer 2; making the dehydrated cake fall into and accumulate in a hopper 4 to obtain an accumulated dehydrated cake 40 mixed with the fermentation accelerator 3; transporting the dehydrated cake 40 to a composting facility by a vehicle; mixing the dehydrated cake 40 with a subsidiary material to make a compost raw material 60; and performing the stirring work while accelerating the fermentation by the action of the fermentation accelerator 3 to compost the compost raw material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
