A wheeled top guide for rolling movement of a door (10) along an inverted U-shaped track (12) includes a housing (30) for mounting on the door (10) with an upwardly extending axle (50) and a roller (70) thereon for rolling engagement with one side wall (16) of the track (12). A vertically oriented torsion member (54) is seated in the housing (30) and has a vertically extending elongated torsion rod (58) having its lower end fixed on the housing (30), a horizontally extending arm (60) having one end secured to the upper end of the torsion rod (58) and extending away from the first axle (50), and an upwardly extending axle (62) adjacent the other end of the arm (60). A second roller (70) on this axle (62) is in rolling engagement with the other side wall (18) of the track (12) and is spaced from the first roller (70). The second roller (70) and arm (60) are resiliently displaceable about the longitudinal axis of the torsion rod (58) towards the housing (30) for insertion of the rollers (70) into the track (12), and the resulting torque in the torsion rod (58) produces a force biasing the arm (60) and thereby the second roller (70) to maintain the rollers (70) in firm rolling contact with the side walls (16, 18) of the track (12). |
