[Also in Division A4] A brush comprises a plastics material handle 1 connected to a wedge-shaped brush-body 2 consisting of two identical plastics material shells 3, 3 the outer surface of each shell being covered with a padded textile material 4, 5, e.g. velvet or plush. Each shell is constructed in such a manner that when the two are placed together to form the brush body complementary structural elements 8 and 9 formed on the shells align and interengage. The periphery of each shell is toothed, the teeth 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and 7 holding the textile 4 in position. The handle is secured to the brush body by the engagement of a forked clip 15 in recesses 13 formed in longitudinal webs 12 which are integral with the half-shells. A brushing element 4 in which the bristles all point in the same direction is preferred. |
