Water-soluble azo dyes for wool and polyamide fibres. Dyes are of formula (in which D is the group of an aromatic or heterocyclic diazo or tetrazo component, m is 1 or 2, n is 1 to 4, is alkyl, phenyl opt. substd., A2 is CN, carbonamide or carbalkoxy, A3 is CH3 or CH3O and A4 is H or CH3.) - Pref. A1 is CH3, A2 is -CONH2, A3 is -H or -CH3, A4 is -H and n is 1 to 3. They give yellow to blue shades of good to very good fastness on wool and synthetic polyamides.
