<p>1329954 Semi-conductor devices STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 29 July 1971 35649/71 Heading H1K A bridge rectifier assembly comprises a stack of selenium rectifier plates 3 with contact plates 4A-4F, and capacitors C1-C4 formed from the contact plates, dielectric films 5A-5D and additional plates 4G, 4H. The capacitors may be used to suppress interference caused by brush sparking of D.C. motors, the dielectric films 5A-5D being of polyester. The stack may be held under pressure by a spring clip 1 which is insulated from the plates by an insulating film 2. In an alternative embodiment the plate 4H may be removed providing only three capacitors. The entire device may be dipped in a protective varnish prior to use.</p> |
