Combined clip and self locking nut - can be pressed sideways onto screwed rod for rapid assembly

A combined clip and self-locking nut is used for fixing flase ceilings to screwed rods attached to the main ceiling. The clip consists of an initially flat disc with three tabs bent at right angles around the periphery. A central hole (2) with a sharp edge runs into a wide slot (1) which extends to the periphery. A narrower and shorter slot (3) extends from the opposite side of the hole (2). The clip can be pressed sideways onto a screwed rod and so obviate the need for being screwed along the whole length of the rod.
