<p>The movable upper platform for a long railway wagon is for transporting vehicles, caravans and boats. It can take up different positions for loading and unloading and is worked by at least two hydraulic rams, together with a cable system. Locks hold the platform at any desired height or inclination to the rails. The rams are fitted below the underframe. The hydraulic power is provided by an electric motor driven pump. The cables are fixed to the platform to give horizontal movement, but without side movement.</p> |
