PIEZOELECTRIC BIMORPH TYPE TRANSDUCER

PURPOSE:To give displacement coincident in dynamic and static movements with a simple constitution, by reducing the width of bimorph element gradually from the fixed to movable end and making the width of the electrode except the fixed end smaller than the width of piezoelectric thin plate constituting the bimorph element. CONSTITUTION:The width of the electrodes 17c-17e of the bimorph element 17 is made smaler than the width of the piezoelectric thin plates 17a, 17b except the fixed end of the piezoelectric thin plates 17a, 17b and the width of the electrodes 17c-17e is made smaller gradually from the fixed to free ends. At an arbitrary time (t). the form of the electrodes 17c-17e is determined so that the condition is satisfied that the displacement toward (y) at position (x) on the (x) axis from the fixed end is equal to the product of functions with (x) and (t). Thus, the oscillation coincident in dynamic and static movements can be obtained with a simple constitution.
