PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic head efficiency, by forming the slider plane of the floating head slider loated on the surface of magnetic recording medium in arc shape, and forming the taper plane at the end of air flow side. CONSTITUTION:The slider plane 2 of the floating head slider 1 consists of the circular arc plane 20 of crown height deltac and the taper plane 3 of taper height deltat formed on the air flow end 2A. Thus, the floating head slider 1 forms the circular arc plane 20 on the slider plane 2 and the taper plane 3 at the air flow side end 2A, then the pressure of the taper plane 3, i.e., the air flow end 2A is greater, allowing to obtain the stable floating attitude in obtaining the minimum gap G near the air flow-out end 2B. Thus, the magnetic head efficiency is good and the coil winding work can be made easy. |
