PURPOSE:To prepare a mixed or bonded product of seaweed and other materials, resistant to the separation or scattering of the components, by treating seaweed with potassium or sodium salt of an organic acid, mixing or bonding with other materials, and treating with a water-soluble salt. CONSTITUTION:Seaweed is brought into contact with potassium or sodium salt of citric acid, tartaric acid or malic acid or their mixture adjusted to a proper pH, in the presence of water, to make at least a part of the seaweed hydrophilic. The treated seaweed is mixed or bonded with fish roe, fish meat, cattle meat, their processed goods or other foods. The mixture or the bonded product is brought into contact with a water-soluble calcium salt, aluminum salt or iron salt, e.g. calcium chloride, to convert at least a part of the hydrophilic seaweed contained in said mixture or bonded product to hardly soluble in water. |
