PURPOSE:To obtain good air-fuel ratio in an idling period, by performing correction of an injection quantity in a period, when closed loop control is performed for the fuel injection quantity on the basis of a feedback signal from an air-fuel ratio sensor, and forming the injection quantity when open loop control is performed. CONSTITUTION:Detection outputs of a water temperature sensor 18, air-fuel ratio sensor 24, car speed sensor 25, crank angle sensor 23, air flow sensor 19 and air temperature sensor 20 are input to an electronic controller 15, to control a fuel injection valve 14 and ignition coil 32. Here in a closed loop control period of a fuel injection quantity on the basis of a feedback signal from the sensor 24 with output of the air-fuel ratio sensor 24 effective, the second correction fuel injection quantity is adjusted in such a manner that the first correction fuel injection quantity, calculated on the basis of the feed back signal from the sensor 24, is approximated to zero, and a fuel injection quantity in an open loop controlled idling period is formed by a sum of the above correction quantity and the basic amount. |
