<p>A novel catalyst system for the polymerization or copolymerization of olefines, more particularly to ethylene is disclosed. For preparing the novel catalyst system, a titanium compound (Ti IV) is previously attached to a solid supporting member, whereafter the so anchored Ti is reacted with vapors of a metal, in the presence of a halogenated compound or not. Very high polymer yields are obtained and examples are given.</p> |
