PURPOSE:To enable an air conditioning unit to be used as a cassette-type one and as a duct-type one without any change in installation level, by partitioning the interior of the air conditioning unit into an upper chamber and a lower chamber, providing a bypass passage for leading room air from the lower chamber into the upper chamber, and providing one of a bottom plate and a side plate with an air suction port communicating with the lower chamber and an air blow-off port communicating with the upper chamber. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 15 partitions the interior of a use-side chamber 3 of an air conditioning unit 1 into upper and lower chambers 16, 17, and a bypass passage 18 is provided for leading room air from the lower chamber 17 into the upper chamber 16 by bypassing the partition plate 15. When the unit 1 is used as a cassette- type one, an air filter 37 is mounted in a lower air suction port 22, a lower air blow-off port 23 is opened, whereas side air suction and blow-off ports 25, 26 are closed by blind covers 30, 31, a top panel 40 is fitted to a ceiling plate 41, and intake and exhaust ducts 42, 43 are fitted. When the unit 1 is used as a duct-type one, the air suction and blow-off ports 22, 23 are closed by blind covers 28, 29, whereas the air suction and blow-off ports 25, 26 are opened, a suction duct 50 and a blow-off duct are connected, and an air guide plate 32 is turned to be horizontal. |
