PURPOSE:To easily perform the retrieval and search of recorded contents and not only to improve a method for retrieving a lot of kinds of recorded information but also to improve utilization efficiency of a magnetic tape by reading information concerning pictures and voices recorded in the magnetic tape from a storage medium added to a cassette. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing, the tape position information of recording start is read from an IC memory 9 added to a cassette 1 by an IC memory connector 10, and reproducing is started from a tape position calculated by comparing the tape position information at the time of recording start with tape position information due to a tape position detecting means at an arithmetic means. |
