摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing cathode-ray tubes by which the number of defect products is significantly decreased. CONSTITUTION: This method is for producing cathode-ray tubes provided with a neck part inside which an electron gun 5 having an elastic element 14 is to be installed. In a production process of inserting an electron gun 5 into the neck part 4 through a treatment tool 17 to carry out a work of pushing the electron gun 5 together with the elastic element 14, the treatment tool 17 is positioned outside the neck part 4 from a view in the axial line direction of the neck part 4 while being kept at a gap from the neck part 4.
