<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which achieves a obtaining of stable directivity and higher trajectory in the hitting of a ball without being affected by the characteristic of a shaft, nor without giving rigid touch to a head body and the shaft and moreover, effective prevention of the breaking of the shaft while effectively preventing the infiltration of foreign matters into a hollow part of the club head body. SOLUTION: A shaft insertion hole 7 of a shaft 4 is formed at a crown part 3 and a shaft tip support member 8 (hosel) which is set to face the shaft insertion hole 7 formed in the crown part 3 while being separated from the crown part 3 is integrally formed on an internal wall face 5a of a sole part 5 sticking out of the shaft insertion hole 7. The shaft insertion hole 7 formed at the crown part 3 is made larger than the diameter of the shaft 4 so that no side of the shaft 4 will come in direct contact with the periphery part of the shaft insertion hole 7. At the tip part 8b of the shaft tip support member 8, a flange part 9 is formed so as to cover a clearance P between the shaft insertion hole 7 and the shaft tip support member 8.</p> |
