A thermally stable ink for use in an ink jet printing apparatus containing a printhead (10), a fill port (12), a membrane cavity (14), a pumping chamber (16), a piezoelectric transducer (18) and an orifice (20), through which the thermally stable ink is ejected wherein the ink contains an ester amide resin, a tackifying resin, and a colorant.
