<p>The method and the device are used for additional treatmentof a closing cover for jars for canned drinks and other similar,and in particular its folded end. They reduce the blowing out ofthe upper central part of the cover and increases the pressureresistance. By the method a central panel part (10) is formedcontinuing gradually into a radial internal wall (13) of aninternal notch (12) including the cover edge. The cover materialin a ring-type band region (10, 24) of the panel part (10),radially bounding internally the radius of curving (R1, R2) isbrought to drawing out in the direction of notch (12). For thispurpose the cover material is pressed between a surface (3) of amoulding tool orientated perpendicularly to axis (15) of thecover, and a surface (6) of a moulding tool deviating radiallyoutside surface (3) in the form of a wedge (25).10 claims, 5 figures</p> |
