PHYTASE-SECRETING LACTIC ACID BACTERIUM

摘要

PURPOSE: A phytase-secreting lactic acid bacterium is provided which can catalyze the release of inorganic phosphorous from phytic acid, an anti-nutritional component to livestock such as chickens or pigs. CONSTITUTION: Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei (KFCC-11042) showing high phytase activity is isolated from livestock intestinal tract and produced on a large scale, which can be useful as direct-fed-microbes or strains for producing animal fermentation feed.
