PURPOSE: To establish a simple, highly reliable and reproducible method by preparing a fundamental soln. usable in indication reaction for judging the concn. of an additive and measuring polarograph peak height with respect to the indication reaction in the fundamental soln. CONSTITUTION: The sample cell 402 of a measuring apparatus contains a reference electrode 404, an opposed electrode 406 and a suspended Hg drip electrode 408 and the reference electrode 404, the opposed electrode 406 and a suspended Hg drip electrode controller 410 are connected to a standard polarograph analyser 412. A fundamental soln. usable as indication reaction for judging the concn. of an additive is prepared and calibration standard soln. samples containing the additive to be measured in a series of selected concns. are prepared. Next, a sample of a use soln. to be subjected to the measurement of the concn. of the additive is collected. Subsequently, pulse voltammetry is adapted by the suspended Hg drip electrode 408 in the fundamental soln and polarograph peak height is measured with respect to the indication reaction in the fundamental soln. |
