PURPOSE: A cartridge for receiving different-sized optical magnetic disks is provided to receive not only a 12-cm cartridge but a small size cartridge by mounting a small size cartridge having a different size compared to a 12-cm optical magnetic disk in a cartridge having the 12-cm optical magnetic disk and automatically extracting the small size cartridge. CONSTITUTION: A cartridge having a rotation space is provided for receiving a 12-cm optical magnetic disk(D) or mounting a small size cartridge receiving a small size disk having a small size compared to a 12-cm optical magnetic disk. A pair of guide groove are formed on the upper and lower surface of the small size cartridge. A protrusion is protruded at a shutter mounted at the small size cartridge. The cartridge is constructed by combining an upper plate and a lower plate(22, 24) for forming an opening unit(20a). A position deciding hole(20c) is formed at an end circumference portion of the upper plate and the lower plate(22, 24) for inserting a writing protection hole(20b) and a position deciding pin. A terminal hole(20d) is formed at the one side of the position deciding hole(20c) for inserting a switch terminal of a recording reproducing device. An engaging hole(20e) is formed at one side wall of the cartridge. One end portion of a cover(26) is hinged combined at the rear portion of the cartridge(20). An engaging rib(28) having a predetermined tension is formed at the other end portion of the cover(26). The first and second arc-shaped ribs(30,32) are protruded at the inner circumference surface of the upper plate and the lower plate(22,24) and the cover(26) for supporting the 12-cm optical magnetic disk. In addition, the first and second receiving units(30a,32a) are formed on the first and second arc-shaped ribs(30,32) for receiving a corner of the small size cartridge. A compression spring(44) both end thereof are connected to an extracting lever(40) and the upper plate(22) for extracting the small size cartridge.
