The device has a transport pump (2) that can be driven in both directions for delivering washing liquid to one of two connections (9,10) depending on the drive direction. The pump is designed to produce a planned pressure for each drive direction. A resistance is connected in front of an electric motor (1) with direction dependent characteristic for driving the pump impeller wheel when it is driven in one of the two directions.
