PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking tower to swiftly handle driving in and out without reducing parking chambers by having a temporary-standby parking chamber on an elevating lift before or behind the driving-out room. SOLUTION: The method is composed of transverse moving trays 4, 5 capable of carrying a vehicle driving in/out, parking chambers X, Y with the transverse moving trays 4, 5 arranged in a double row for placing the vehicle, a carriage 11 for loading the vehicle, an elevating lift 3 placed in each lifting space E where the vehicles can pass each other on a moving trail R and a temporary chamber provided by lifting the elevating lift 3 before or after driving in/out with the standby car loaded.
