<p>A setting brick of refractory material is intended for checkers of regenerators in industrial furnaces and has a cross- or ring-shaped cross-section. The top face is preferably offset parallel in at least one lateral direction with respect to the bottom face, so that the setting brick is configured oblickely in this lateral direction. The offset of the top face with respect to the bottom face is of such a degree that the projection of the centre of gravity of the setting brick lies in the bottom face. The top face can be inclined relative to the bottom face. To produce checker layers, the oblique setting bricks are set one upon the other with the same or alternately directed obliquity, alone or in combination with straight setting bricks. The oblique setting bricks are suitable for drawing the checker of the regenerator into the connecting channel to the industrial furnace, in which case the openings of the checker are inclined towards the media flow. <IMAGE></p> |
