FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed silencer comprises hollow cylinder housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes rigidly attached to its end faces. Housing accommodates sections, each made up of two lengthwise partitions jointed together by hollow cylinders with through slots symmetrically arranged along outer surface and crosswise partitions attached to ends faces of lengthwise partition and representing cylindrical plates with central bores. Crosswise partitions feature through slots radially and regularly distributed along the circumference. Note here that aforesaid sections are bolted together inside said housing. Crosswise ring-like partition is rigidly fixed at the lengthwise partition center. ^ EFFECT: reduced noise of exhaust gases. ^ 2 dwg |
