PURPOSE:To prevent the exchange of a tape cartridge under the state, in which a printing head conducts printing, and exchange the tape cartridge easily in a printing equipment performing printing with a tape. CONSTITUTION:When a main body cover is closed, the end section 63b of a driving member 63 is pushed down by an operating arm 50S, and a link plate 62 is rotated through a spring 69. Consequently, a printing head 60 rotatably wonted to a head shaft 64 is moved in the direction of the platen rubber of a platen, and a tape T is held in a printable manner. A tape cartridge cannot be exchanged under the state, and the tape cartridge is not removed by mistake during printing. When the main body cover 50K is opened, on the contrary, the printing head 60 is detached from the platen, and moved to the position of retreat, thus allowing the exchange of the tape cartridge only by opening the main body cover 50K. |
