PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material for an electrochemical cell which exhibits stable heat resistance, electrolyte resistance, steam gas barrier properties, and moldability.SOLUTION: The packaging material for an electrochemical cell is used for an outer package 20 which seals and houses an electrochemical cell body 22 therein by heat-sealing a heat-sealed part 20a as an outer package peripheral edge part. The packaging material for an electrochemical cell is constituted by sequentially laminating at least a substrate layer 11, a metal foil layer 12 whose surface has been subjected to chemical conversion treatment, and a thermally adhesive resin layer 15. A polyethylene naphthalate film 16 is disposed between the metal foil layer 12 and the thermally adhesive resin layer 15. The polyethylene naphthalate film 16 is bonded to the thermally adhesive resin layer 15 via an acid-modified polyolefin layer 14b. A surface on the thermally adhesive resin layer 15 side of the polyethylene naphthalate film 16 has been subjected to blast treatment 16a. |
