摘要 1,117,394. Conveyer systems; chains. SI HANDLING SYSTEMS Inc. 20 Sept., 1965 [23 Oct., 1964], No. 39916/65. Heading B7L. [Also in Divisions B8 and F2] An endless conveyer 13 moving in a channel in the floor of a building comprises a chain having a dog-section including a chain link 14 providing a pushing surface 28 at one end for engaging a tow pin 12 of a vehicle movable along said floor, the pin 12 depending into a slot in the floor above the channel. The dog section comprises a downstream block link 16 inclined at 18 to lift the pin 12 on to the dwell surface 22 of the following two side bar link 20 or a block link 24 providing a recess into which the pin 12 moves to be engaged by the pusher surfaces 28 of the two side bar link 14. The upstream portion of the dog section is also provided at 34, 30, 31 with inclined and dwell surfaces to provide for a tow pin moving faster than the conveyer. The chain links are coupled by pins passing through elongated holes in the links, which permits arcuate movement of the chain in the horizontal plane. The chain moves along a wear plate 48 in the bottom of the channel which may at spaced intervals have a roller 38 projecting therethrough. During arcuate movement the side of the chain may engage a wear plate (114) Fig. 17 (not shown), or a roller, Figs. 4, 6, 18 (not shown). The drive for the conveyer chain, Figs. 20, 21 (not shown), comprises a pair of driven sprockets spaced along the conveyer length, and over which the chain is looped, the chain coming out of the loop being displaced laterally from the chain going into the loop. The sprockets are movable relative to each other to adjust the tension. The tow pin slot is accordingly displaced with jog section between the two parallel displaced sections, the tow pin moving through this jog section under the vehicle inertia. A receptacle (118), Fig. 19 (not shown), is placed in the system to receive debris scraped along the wear plate 48 by the chain. Detailed variations in chain construction are illustrated in Figs. 7 to 16 (not shown).
