PURPOSE:To obtain a new instant tea composed of cut, dried and ground leaves, twigs and stems of a Moraceae plant or a Caprifoliaceae plant, keeping its flavor and taste and excellent in nutritive components and to provide its production method capable of production in a short time using simple processes. CONSTITUTION:Leaves, twigs and stems of a Moraceae plant or a Caprifoliaceae plant are cut and the resultant cut pieces are subjected to the first drying treatment at a high temperature. The first dried pieces are then subjected to the second drying treatment at a low temperature and the obtained dry cut pieces are ground into a fibrous or powdery material. These cutting, drying and grinding of leaves, twigs and stems enable a short-time production without requirement of a complicated process. The flavor and the taste can be kept and the nutritive components can be quickly dissolved by pouring hot water therein. |
