PURPOSE:To provide an atmospheric pressure booster which can improve pedal feeling. CONSTITUTION:At a power piston 5, a valve body 20 provided with a valve mechanism 21 is provided in capable of relative displacement in the axial direction and integrally interlocking with the power piston 5, a return spring 30 for rearward energizing the power piston 5 is provided between a front shell land the power piston 5 and a second spring 32 is provided between the power piston 5 and the valve body 20 for energizing it in the direction separating the both. A spring force of the second spring 32 is set larger than a differential pressure force applied on the valve body 20 and smaller than a spring force of the return spring 30. At the beginning of stepping on a pedal, an output rod 14 is displaced against an input rod 17 in the relation of a stroke of the input rod 17 a stroke of the output rod 14, and a loss stroke at the beginning of operation can be reduced and pedal feeling can be improved. |
