PURPOSE:To produce a high strength ceramic sintered compact under short-time cracking and easy compactibility. CONSTITUTION:When ceramic (Si3N4) powder and powders of sintering aids (Al2O3 and Y2O3) are classified by crackability in a mixing process, the Si3N4 and Al2O3 powders as easily crackable powders are cracked with a sand mill and the Y2O3 powder as hardly crackable powder is cracked with a ball mill. The Y2O3 powder as hardly crackable powder is satisfactorily cracked and the Si3N4 and Al2O3 powders as easily crackable powders are not excessively cracked. |
