PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric porcelain compsn. having a high piezoelectric constant, high electric resistivity and high mechanical strength and usable for an actuator, especially a laminate type piezoelectric actuator. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. represented by Pb(ZrxTiy)O3 (where 0.52<=x<=0.59 and x+y=1) is used as a basic compsn., at least and among Ca, Sr and Ba is substd. for 2-12mol% of the Pb atoms and 0.1-2.0wt.% (expressed in terms of Sb2O3) Sb, 0.01-0.5wt.% (expressed in terms of oxide) at least one among Mn, Fe and Cr and 0.005-1.0wt.% (expressed in terms of Al2O3) Al are incorporated to obtain the piezoelectric porcelain compsn. |
