<p>A method of insulating the field windings from the laminated core in a salient-pole motor with fully insulated slots, is effected in two stages; first the laminated core is coated in a mould with highly reactive, hardened casting resin with epoxide content, leaving only the centering and pole faces exposed and then the field windings are laid in the slots and the winding ends in the pole gaps, and then the slots, pole gaps and winding heads are insulated by casting in a mould in a second stage.</p> |
