1322863 Dry cleaning apparatus APAW SA 26 Nov 1971 [28 Nov 1970] 55095/71 Heading D1A In a programmer-controlled dry cleaning machine the air drying cycle is terminated when a flow meter 18 records sufficient fall in the solvent output from a second condenser 15 in the air flow circuit thereby indicating that all the solvent has been removed from the garments. As shown the machine has a perforated rotary drum 2 in a chamber 1, a solvent supply tank 4, a dirty solvent tank 6 with a heating element 5 for distilling the solvent and a first condenser 9, connected by a line 10 to the tank 4. The drying circuit comprises an air pump 11, a heater 12, the chamber 1 and the condenser 15. The flow meter 18 has a weir 22 with a bleed hole 23/26 and a float 37 which actuates a transducer 35 magnetically or otherwise when it falls to operate the programmer. The flow meter 18 may be modified to be sensitive to different flow conditions.
