<p>The vehicle is fitted with a remote control for the ignition, with a single solenoid operating on an off-off stepping switch with two stable settings. The switch has a cylindrical housing (21) with inner axial grooves of alternate deep and shallow grooves. A shaped switch element (22) is fitted inside the housing, with the outer ridges of the element fitting the grooves in the housing. The switch element is operated by a third element (35) whose ridges operate on the toothed profile of the switch element. The third element is connected to the solenoid. The switch uses only one solenoid, as opposed to the two solenoid switch in conventional use. It is used to start and stop vehicles such as fire engines by remote control.</p> |
