PURPOSE:To prevent failure due to discontinuity produced at a juncture, by setting the timing from a point outside the playback screen just before the vertical syncyhronizing signal to the similar point thereafter and digitizing and storing the video signal. CONSTITUTION:A vertical synchronizing signal A is picked up at a synchronizing separation circuit 12 from the video input, a frame pulse signal is picked up to drive a monostable multivibrator 13. The monostable multivibrator 13 sets a storage period B in which it starts a point outside the playback picture just before the vertical blanking period A and is finished to the similar point, to drive a write-in control circuit 14. When a write-in designation is inputted to a write-in control circuit 14, a frame memory 11 digitizes a video signal and stores it during the storage period B. Thus, failures due to the timing caused at sections and discontinuity of color subcarrier can be prevented surely. |
