PURPOSE:To optimally start with a simple construction by selecting drive conditions that the maximum values of voltage and time product applied to the secondary winding of a transformer interposed in a motor driven engine and power control means to start the motor. CONSTITUTION:A drive condition calculator 17 calculates on the basis of the sum R of set resistance values, the resistance torque TL of a load and inertial moment J of a machine system to calculate the optimum drive conditions, i.e., the armature current reference and the field current reference that the maximum value of the voltage and time product applied to the secondary winding of a transformer 5 becomes minimum. Then, the armature current reference is compared with the output of a current detector 15, and the conduction angle of a semiconductor element which forms a power reactor 2 is controlled by a pulse distributor 12. On the other hand, a file current reference is compared with the output of a current detector 16, and the conduction angle of a semiconductor element for forming a power reactor 18 is controlled by a pulse distributor 14 so that the deviation becomes zero. |
