PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency of induction coils and to make possible the supply of large current in a device which is provided with the plural induction coils and stirs a molten steel by electromagnetic induction by interposing spacers into the induction coils. CONSTITUTION:For example, the spacer 20 of which the front face in an arrow direction is U-shaped is prepd. A wire 18 is first wound 5 turns around a magnetic pole 13a. The spacer 20 is then fitted to the prescribed position on the coil from the outside in such a manner that projecting lines 20b are interposed between the adjacent wires 18 and 18. The contact of the wires 18, 18 with each other is thereby prevented and the space therebetween is maintained at the thickness E of the line 20b. The wire 18 is wound spirally 5 turns onto the fitted spacers 20, 20... from above. The contact of the 1st and 2nd layers of the coils with each other is thereby prevented and the space therebetween is maintained at the thickness F of the plate body 20a. The spacers 20 are thereafter fitted into the prescribed positions and the operation are repeated in the same manner as mentioned above until an induction coil 21 is formed. The cooling water fed therein passes through the spaces formed between the coils 21 and penetrates to all corners of the coil 21 inside, thereby cooling efficiently the coils.
