PURPOSE:To flatten the temperature characteristics of a piezoelectric constant as the entire piezoelectric actuator by superposing two types of piezoelectric elements having reverse polarities of temperature characteristic of the piezoelectric constant. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric elements 31-34 all have polarized poles in the direction of electrodes 35, 36, and each element has piezoelectric lateral effect, i.e., characteristic that displaces in a direction perpendicular to an applied electric field. The piezoelectric ceramics of the two elements 31, 33 of the elements 31-34 are made of a material A, and the piezoelectric ceramics of the other elements 32, 34 are made of a material B. The piezoelectric constants of the materials A, B have positive and negative characteristics with respect to temperature change so that the temperature characteristics compensate each other. |
