PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium being high in moisture resistance and excellent in stability, reproducibility and mass-productivity and having a high reliability over a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:On a transparent substrate 1, a first interference layer 2, recording layer 3, second interference layer 4, passivity layer 7, reflective layer 5, passivity layer 7 and protective coat layer 6 are laminated successively and laser light 8 is applied from the substrate 1 side so that the record, reproduction and deletion of information is performed in the recording layer 3. The passivity layers 7 formed on the both surfaces of the reflective film 5 has the laminated structure of passivity film 7a and passivity-forming film 7b. The passivity film 7a is a strong oxide film obtained when the surface of the passivity-forming film 7b formed on the surface of the reflective layer 5 at the time of production of an optical disc concerned reacts with oxygen in water passing afterwards through the transparent substrate 1 or protective coat layer 6. |
