<p>PURPOSE:To turn exhaust, catch particulates with a centrifugal force and reduce the choking of a purifying filter by providing a spiral induction part upstream of the purifying filter, providing an exhaust turning chamber surrounded by a perforated disk between both induction part and filter and disposing a particulate catching chamber around the exhaust turning chamber. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust emission control unit 2 is connected to an exhaust passage 1 to receive a purifying filter 3 which is a ceramic filter provided with an exhaust flow path 18. A particulate catcher 13 in the upstream of the filter is provided in an exhaust introducing port 4 with a turning induction part 5 having a turning induction blade 23 and with an exhaust turning chamber 7 surrounded by a perforated disk 6. Exhaust 9 turns in the exhaust turning chamber 7 and particulates invade from holes 10 in the perforated disk 6 into a particulate catching chamber 8 by a centrifugal force to be caught in the chamber 8. Thus, since the particulates are previously caught upstream of the purifying filter 3, the choking of the purifying filter is reduced to prolong the life thereof.</p> |
