Rotary switch

A rotary switch comprises a shaft with a rotor which carries a short circuit element, and a contact plate with contact tracks which can be connected by the short circuit element. The short circuit element consists of a roller made of electrically conducting material. The roller (16) has a rotational axis (13) which is orthogonal to the shaft axis (B). The roller is fixed to the rotor (14) so it can rotate. The roller preferably comprises electrically conducting plastic.
